It's been a few years since a family member was at the centre but I felt that I could give something back to Velindre for the support received by the family and the care they gave to my nan and uncle. We spent almost 6 years there with my uncle back and for each week  for months on end but it wouldn't go away, thankfully for their work and support, my uncle is still with us.

Any family going through a battle with cancer will know how much of a tough time it is and we couldn't have felt more at ease with the support by the staff and how

This money raised will assist them to continue their research to find new methods of finding cures which is what everyone wants and to offer the excellent support they give to patients throughout their time at the Centre.

The football event I'm taking part in is part of a work colleagues fundraising who's going to be climbing Kilimanjaro in 2013 and these are one of the side events to keep the fundraising total figure increasing.
