Hi! The furthest I'd ever run before being persuaded (reluctantly) to participate in the half marathon was a 5K Race for life about 6 years ago.
I don't consider myself a runner or particularly sporty for that matter (despite being a physio!). So deciding to do this is a massive challenge for me. But the good thing is that I love a good challenge and never give up!
So since beginning my training I have built myself up from nothing to running 4 miles in about 40 minutes! I won't lie I don't enjoy it and it is never easy to put on my trainers and get out the door. But it is for a great cause and as my training continues I am finding it strangely addictive... there is just something about achieving those little goals that really spurs you on to do more!
So dig deep people, this is a massive challenge for me and every penny you can spare will go to a great cause and keep me going!
