Almost time to run!!!! Bashed out a 10-miler on the weekend for my final run - now time to relax, rest and carb-load...something I shouldn't have too much problem with!

Yes, you read correctly. I am planning to run the BUPA Great Birmingham Run  - that's a half-marathon by the way! in October alongside a few of the other therapists at work (I say "alongside" ambitiously, clearly I'll be lagging far behind). We're doing this to raise money for Acorn's Children's Hospice as it's a cracking charity in the West Midlands close to the heart of some of our team.

I have to raise a minimum of £80 as set by the company; however, as it costs approximately £750 a day to provide adequate care and support for one child, I want to raise at least a third of that as a bare minimum. For those who know me well, this is hardly a day in the sunshine - I've been knocking back the miles in training fast and hard. I appreciate times are hard, but please have a rummage around in your pockets, purses, wallets, bags and bank accounts and donate whatever money you can. 

By myself, hopefully I can run a respectable time; with your help, hopefully I can raise a respectable amount!
