We 're working to bring treatments for Rett Syndrome home

Story

We made it!

Sky Sports News presenters Julian Waters and Rob Wotton have cycled from St James Park in Exeter to St James' Park in Newcastle in one week. We were greeted by a champagne reception and Dylan, on her 3rd birthday.

Massive thanks to Love Velo, Starley bikes, Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin for their support. Exeter City, Aston Villa, Stoke City and Newcastle Utd welcomed us warmly. Special thanks to Paul Lambert, Rory Delap, Iain Dowie, Lee Briers, fellow Sky Sports News presenters Jim White, Clare Tomlinson, Rachel Wyse and Olivia Godfrey. Thanks to our Sky Sports News colleagues who supported us and skysports.com.

Dylan has Rett Syndrome. She has already been condemned to a life of profound disability and physical pain. She can no longer walk, talk or use her hands. In time, she will lose the ability to eat, drink, even breathe.

But incredibly and against all the odds she can be saved. Rett Syndrome has been REVERSED in the lab. All we need is money to translate this amazing breakthrough into clinical treatments for Dylan and hundreds of thousands of girls like her.

One such girl is Beth Stevenson - daughter of Andy Stevenson - who cycled with us. Andy is co-founder of Rett Syndrome Research Trust UK - the charity which is driving this research forward. He knows first-hand what it is like to watch your child degenerate in front of your eyes.

So please help Beth, help Dylan and all the girls living with Rett Syndrome. A cure is within reach - but time is against them.

Your help WILL make a difference. 98.2% of donations will go straight to cutting-edge research. Not a penny is wasted. And, of course, you can add gift aid to make your money go even further.

Thank you for your support. If you have a couple of minutes to spare, please visit www.curefordylan.com for more information on Dylan and Rett Syndrome.
