This is the big one guys,  this is regarded as the ultimate  endurance event a runner can attempt....i'm so strangely exited about it that i get goosebumps even thinking about the challenge ahead.

 I will be part of a a 6 man team, all serving Firefighters within The West Midlands, and Devon & Somerset Fire Service. We are raising donations for the HOPE for Children charity and to achieve this aim we are taking part in a variety of events, culminating in the Marathon des Sables in April 2014.

6 firefighters, 151 miles, 1 desert, 1 dream, Zero failure!

This event is billed as 'the toughest foot race on earth', a multi-stage endurance event covering around 240km of the Saharan Desert in Morocco, with temperatures in excess of 120°F and inclines of 25% - lots of sand!
