Story

As some of you may know, a year ago I felt compelled to do something challenging in the hope that I could inspire people to support some fantastic voluntary work I am involved with in Liverpool. As a result of this, I formed a team of dedicated people to take on the National 3 Peak Challenge in aid of domestic abuse awareness in Liverpool.

I am a member of and personally volunteer for my chosen charity (South Liverpool Vineyard Church) who works in conjunction with various domestic abuse agencies in Liverpool. We help by taking time to paint & decorate rooms for families that may not have the time, money or skills to do it themselves. The work we provide is completely on a voluntary basis and therefore funds are required to buy the materials needed to keep the work going. Domestic abuse is a major issue that sadly exists on a huge scale in our city; I am very passionate about raising awareness and supporting women in particular, who have been subjected to violence. The houses the women are relocated to are often in severe disrepair. Please dig deep folks, we have given our all to this!! We have suffered adverse weather conditions, severe blisters, knee problems and broken bones.....even if it's just a small gesture, we promise to use it wisely to bless the people we support.

Due to various potential time constraints, we are not claiming that we will complete all 3 mountains in 24hrs. However, we do promise that members of the team will complete them all in one consecutive push as quickly as possible.

Thanks for taking the time to read this,

Love and blessings,

Yolie :) x
