Story
Thanks for landing here, suppose you'd like to know why I have badgered you for some of your hard earned cash?
Well, I lost my mum to a sudden heart attack in late 1999, aged just 48. She had spent her life working hard and whilst she didn't exactly lead the healthiest lifestyle, she went far too young. She also did a lot of work for charity and her last job was working directly for the British Red Cross. I was immensely proud of her, especially for how giving she was.
Since she died, I have always said I would like to do something for the people researching and helping others who suffer from heart issues and I have finally decided to take the plunge and cycle the 54 miles from London to Brighton this year, in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
I know there are lots of charities that are worthy of your cash and that times are tough right now, but even if you click on the donate button and send me £1 I'd be really happy. Honestly, I know you might think "that'll look stingy!" I really don't care how much you donate, just that you do and I promise I'll not only complete the 54 mile cycle in June, but I'll post the photos and damning evidence of what I look like at the end!
That's gotta be worth a £1 surely?
