Sun 3rd June 2012 Arrived in Oban from Lochranza yesterday. Weather remaining kind. Fort William tonight - only 220 miles to go!

What do you want to do when you retire? Well - we are cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats. We start on 19th May and in 3 weeks will cover over 1000 miles. We would like to use our "adventure" as an opportunity to raise funds for Butterwick Hospice Care. The recent death of a good friend (and honorary gran to our kids) Margaret Ward has reinforced our view that good quality "end of life" services are essential.
In addition to the care provided to adults, Butterwick Hospice Care is unique in the support given to children across a wide area of the North East and Yorkshire. Half of the money we raise will be going to the Butterwick House Childrens Hospice.
