Futures for Kids was launched in February 2008 by a group of people in the futures industry in London, with the aim of raising funds to support children’s charities around the world.  A year ago they decided to ‘walk to work’ from Tunbridge Wells in aid of this.

 

This year they are doing it again and on 18 May 2012 I will stupidly be joining them, walking over 35 miles from Tunbridge Wells to the City.  Everyone who knows me, knows what a huge personal challenge this is for me, not least because currently the farthest I walk is from my desk to the vending machine.  Unperturbed however I have started training, broken in my shoes and ignored family comments such as…… “it’s not the shoes I’m worried about it’s the legs that are in them” and so my fundraising begins.
