Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the TKOE £20k JustGiving page.

Rosie Kilburn died from a rare liver cancer in September 2011, aged 19. From the day of her diagnosis, she told this cancer what she thought of it. She set up The Knock on Effect, a fundraising business, to raise funds for charities which support family and friends of people with life limiting illnesses.

When she died, her family and friends decided to keep TKOE running, and set a target of £20k to celebrate Rosie's 20th birthday on January 3rd.

The money raised will be shared between the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice; The Birmingham Young Person's Unit; Little Princess Trust and the Willow Foundation.

Rosie was born in Yorkshire and was very proud of that. Just before she died, she had decided her next donation would be to the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice in West Yorkshire. They have a glass brick engraved in her honour, and we'd like to raise more money for them.
