Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the TKOE 20k challenge JustGiving page.
Rosie Kilburn was diagnosed with cancer in Feb 2008 aged just 16. She decided cancer was all about the surviving, not the suffering. So she set up The Knock on Effect to raise money for charities which support family and friends of people with cancer and other life limiting illnesses.
When she died in September 2011, her family and friends decided to keep running TKOE. To celebrate her 20th birthday on January 3rd, we have set a £20k challenge to raise funds for The Willow Foundation, Little Princess Trust, Birmingham Young Person's Unit and the Forget me Not Children's Hospice.
The Willow Foundation arranged for Rosie and her boyfriend Toby to spend the day at the Harry Potter film studios whilst the last film was being shot. She said it was the best day of her life. We'd like to help other people have the best days of their life with support from The Willow Foundation.
