Story
Gemma? Cycling 220km in 3 days? Yes you read that right! (although I'm refusing to think about it myself to be honest!)
This Spring, myself and 15 colleagues from Beds and Bars are going to cycle from Bruges (Belgium) to Amsterdam (Netherlands) from the 16th-19th April, 2012. The cycle takes in part of the North Sea route and spans about 220km along the cost of Belgium and The Netherlands.
The cycle is in aid of 'Build Africa', who help to build schools and provide adequate teaching facilities to several communities throughout Africa. We are supporting the building of a primary school in Minyalala, Machakos, Kenya.
As well as the building of the school itself, funds raised will also go towards providing text books, sports equipment, health & hygiene training, building adequate sanitation facilities and the education of families and community members to hold authorities to account for educational standards. For it to make a real difference, we understand that the donations raised need to have a lasting legacy and we believe Build Africa do just that.
I need your help to raise some cash for this needy Charity (www.build-africa.org). I don't ask for much.... just your moral support and a little donation thrown in my direction - please!!!
As the Tesco advert goes.... every little helps!
Thanking you in advance x
PS - Thanks for the donation Dad, I inadvertantly added it to the Paris teams page instead of my own..... doh!
