Hi All,

 

Our mission started last week when Steph messaged us to ask if we were still up for a skydive at some point this year...  Of course the answer was yes and then Katey being she got overly excited.  This got her mind working over time...  She then decided that she wanted to do something else to push herself so 'firewalking' was the obvious thing to do - or course.  These 2 activities then turned into 3 (ice karting) and 4 (half marathon).

 

She then decided that she wanted to do these activities in the name of charity and keep adding to the list of stupid things whilst people are prepared to sponsor her to do them.  As you know, on many occasions before we have raised funds for Breast Cancer Care, a wonderful charity who are there to provide information and support to anyone affected by breast cancer - http://www.breastcancercare.org.uk/about-us/who-we-are

 

She has since roped both of us into joining her crusade - she knew she could rely on us, so then our minds went further...  It was decided that we were going to enlist people to join us for each activity (Poor Jeroen  had no choice in the matter and has to join for all) and encourage them to drive sponsorship to the same charity.

 

Katey would just like to caveat the fact that she has not had any physical training since our wonderful wedding in July 2011, so is starting these activities from point ZERO!

 

The activites decided on to date are:

January - begin training

 

03rd March - Fire Walking // Jeroen & Angie.

 

10th March - Edale Trek // Hannah, Ben, Emily, Jen, Liz, Stephanie G., Abi & Amelia.

 

07th April - White water rafting //  Jeroen, Mark, Dav, Michael, Richard (T), Graeme, Alex, Vicky, Stu, Helen & Helen.

 

14th April - Sky dive // Just the 3 of us.

 

 

20th April - Salsa-thon // 200 people in a party!!!

09th June - St Albans Half Marathon // Patrick, Nina & Angie.

July - 3 Peaks (13-15th July)

September - Rap Jumping (TBC)

 

 

29th September - Thames Path Challenge (50km thames path walk) // Kathrin, Michelle & Beverley.

 

 

October - Quiz Night (TBC)

 

 

October - Great South Run 10 miles (28th October)

 

As you can see, we do need more people and more activities... It is designed so there are activities for all different people/abilities so do let me know if you wish to join in the fun and raise money for a brilliant charity.
