Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Well we did it!!  We are so proud of ourselves and the achievement of the event.  We did a combination of walking and running and completed the event in 4 hours 45 mins.  Not too bad for our first attempt.

We set off at 6.30am from the house to get to Crawley to get the coach that took us to the Pillars in Brighton on the A23.  We then set off at 9am.

The reasons we did the event have not changed and was in memory of our dear friend and Neighbour Ann.

Ann was under the palliative care of St Barnabas Hospice, which offers palliative care for patients with advanced cancer and other advanced life-limiting diseases.   They are also linked to the Chestnut Tree House , which is the only children's hospice in Sussex and cares for children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses from all over the county.

As our friend was someone who we know adores children, then we thought it fitting to raise money for the children's cancer branch of this amazing organization.

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated to our charity and I know that they will be delighted with the money raised and it will of course go to helping children with terminal, life limiting illnesses.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.  You are all very special.

Thank you, as always
