Yes I'm doing it again, No I'm not Crazy

Hi Everyone,

 

On the 22nd April 2012 I will be running the Virgin London Marathon for the second time. However this time its going to be BIGGER and BETTER.

 Some of you may know this year has been a particularly difficult one as many close friends and family have been diagnosed with Cancer or have lost someone due to Cancer. I can't possibly lose someone else and no one else should have to either.  For that reason I want to show them and their family and friends how truly amazing and brave I think they really are and just give a little bit back. It has made me more determined than ever to do something to help, to try and make a difference, even if just a small one.

 

I have been fortunate enough and am extremely grateful to receive a golden bond place with Macmillan,  which means I hope to raise £2500. The support I received last time was overwhelming and I hope I will continue to gain your support this time round. It's getting to that stage today where we all know someone that has been diagnosed or lost their battle to cancer or knows someone that has lost a loved one.  

There are an estimated 2 million people in the UK who are living with cancer. One in three people are diagnosed with Cancer. In one year alone there are around 300,000 new cancer diagnoses. Macmillan provide financial, medical and practical support to people like you and I and our families and friends, to push for better cancer care. 99% of Macmillians services are funded entirely through the generosity of the public.

 £24 could pay for a Macmillan physiotherapist for an hour
£350 could pay for a much-needed convalescent break for someone with cancer and their carer 
 £2026 could fund a Macmillan rehabilitation support team for a week

 

I can't put into words how much this means to me, and how thankful I am to be able to run for such an amazing charity. So if you can,please sponsor me,I would be so grateful; just £1 helps people like you and I and our families and friends.
