So my great friend and general practice partner Tim Sheehan  has died after a hard 2 year battle with myeloma which is a cancer of the immune system that affects the bones and bone marrow.I learn"t alot from Tim about how to be.He was a great clinician, always calm and polite irrespective of how stressful the circumstances. He made everybody feel better about themselves because he took such an interest in them.He was full of good ideas which were nearly always agreed because they were so brilliant and yet never was aggressive or pushy. He was determined, fun and funny.Tim had  style and penache and an energy and zest for life which was truly infectious. His battle was hard and eventually the disease and it"s treatments got the better of him.I hope by giving money to myeloma uk that future people in his position will have the support and  treatments they need to beat this horrible disease. My thoughts go out to his wonderful family .For my part I shall run an off road extreme marathon around the Eden project in Cornwall on the 9th of October.Tim I will be thinking of you every step of the way!

Damian.
