Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, can't believe I've got one really, but here goes!

I am going to spend 8 days cycling from London to Geneva, with a bit of a mountain on the last day just to spice it up a bit. Apparently we tackle the ‘hair-pin bends of the Col de la Faucille (1232m) a climb frequently used in the Tour de France’ on the last day.Which should be 'nice' after 8 days cycliing!  No doubt I'll let you know how many times I fall off, and whether I have any brakes left on my bike after the inevitable down hill following the Col de le Faucille! 

I am covering all my own costs so every penny raised will go to this Charity.

Raising money for cancer charities seems to be my thing, and Hope for Guernsey (Wessex Medical Research) is definitely a worthy cause.  Research in the end is the only real hope we have of dealing with these problems long term.

Wessex Medical research is an independent multi-disease medical research charity funding critical research aimed at tackling the underlying causes of ill health in our community. We are currently funding research into a wide range of diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, breast cancer, prostate camcer, depressive illness, diabetes, heart disease,stroke, osteoporsis and childhood afflictions, particularly child brain injury.
