"Rheumatoid Arthritis may not kill you, but it can take your life"

I have suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis (R.A) ,a painful, disabling, auto immune disease, since 1994. Instead of the immune system protecting , it attacks; damaging joints and even internal organs.

It affects nearly 700,000 people in the UK including approx. 12,000 children and over 1 million people in the U.S !

As yet, there is no cure.

My hope , along with the other members of the MAD BRITS team, is to raise much needed awareness and funds for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society. (NRAS) 

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society offers invaluable support to those people who live with this debilitating disease through their freephone helpline, free publications, a nationwide volunteer programme, of which I am a member, offering one to one telephone support amongst many other things and campaign to raise awareness of the disease and to ensure patients receive the best treatment.

This year is NRAS's 10th birthday and we really hope to celebrate in style!! Lets make it a good one!!
