Story

Ok, so im 12 weeks into my 18 week tour of Afghanistan.  So far I have ran over 290 miles both in and out of the gym.  You will see that the 31 team have raised over 31000 pounds but we want to keep going.  We have run half marathons, rowed across the channel and sweated pints to reach our goal and we couldnt have done it without your help.  Thnak you very much to all of you who have donated and for those who continue to help.  Your kindness will help many of oour soldier wounded in action and improve morale amongst all of our armed forces who are so stretched.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In July 2011 31 Squadron will deploy to Afghanistan in support of our ground troops. As a Squadron we would like to do more for them. In order to achieve this we will be running, cycling or rowing, a distance of 31000 miles, aiming to raise 31,000 pounds for Help for Heroes and tickets for troops.co.uk. This is a difficult but achievable goal and will be undertaken whilst we are serving our country on Operations. This will be my first deployment to Afghanistan and im determined not to let the 45 degree heat beat me or the Squadron. Our soldiers are all heroes but the wounded need our help and you have the opportunity to help us help them. Any donation no matter how small will help us raise the £31000 we are aiming for. Your support, as always, is greatly appreciated.
