Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June 2011 a close friend of mine, Gail Miller Prior of Corfe Mullen, lost her 22 month old son, Max, to a very rare condition called Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP). Max was born the day before my twins Lola and Cooper and the three of them were good friends. It’s very cruel that his life was cut short by this condition.

To commemorate Max's life, a group of family and friends have come together as TeamMAX whose goal is to be able to fund a research grant via Epilepsy Action into the causes and cures for all children and adults living with Epilepsy.

On 12th May 2012, TeamMAX hope to raise awareness and much needed funds by treking for charity to a native land beneath the rim of the Grand Canyon. We will descend over 3,100 ft into the Grand Canyon following an ancient Indian trail that leads to the Havasupai Indian Reservation. We will then embark on a series of day hikes that will enable us to explore this reservation. Once we have triumphantly hiked out of the Canyon we will return home on 19th May 2012.
