We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Win two tickets to a Cardiff Blues home game + a SIGNED rugby ball by visiting http://fb.me/1c79rWAij. You can also text a donation by texting KILI60 + your donation in £ to 70070, eg. KILI60 £10.

In Feburary 2012, I will take on the challenge of trekking the 5,896m high Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer's Scotland.

My fundraising will aim to help 300 people live better with dementia for every day of the partnership. The Tesco Charity of the Year partnership will fund new research, provide dementia support professionals to help those living with the condition and a Dementia Community Roadshow that will travel around the UK raising awareness of dementia and encourage people worried about their memory to visit their GP’s.

This charity is very important to me because two of my relatives have suffered from this distressing and debilitating disease. I have witnessed the effect that Alzheimer’s has, not just on the sufferer, but also their family, carers and friends. Taking part in this huge challenge will help people living with, and to help families who have been affected by dementia in our local community and across the UK. Each step I take up Kilimanjaro will act as a huge morale booster as I will know that I will be helping more people live well with dementia.
