Story
Goodness me, how did I get roped into this one?
On Saturday 4th June 2011, I will be walking 100km (that's just 62 miles) non-stop around the Yorkshire Dales, in less than 30 hours (otherwise they come and find me).
Now I've done some stupidly long treks in my life before, but this one takes the biscuit! And if I am daunted by this, it really is a trekking challenge . . . . but I'm just going to keep on going!!
I'm not doing this for nothing. I'm doing this because I genuinely believe that Oxfam makes a difference to people's lives around the world, providing essential emergency aid, and funding long-term projects to lift people out of poverty.
The earthquake in Haiti. The floods in Pakistan. The tsunami in Japan. Sending children to school in Malawi.
Thanks very much for your support - I think the 100km will be worth it!
