He did it!  Completed the gruelling(?) 11-mile walk from Chislehurst with no training - and, perhaps more worryingly, no trainers.

It was a great day, and overall the 30 walkers raised £16,000 for each of the charities for Demelza House, Everychild and HopeHIV.

Thank you for your contribution to this very worthy cause - it is really and truly appreciated.  Now, we're going to try to get him training for the full 35-mile walk next year...!

Anthony is joining a group of friends and colleagues on a "Walk to Work" on 20th May in aid of Futures For Kids.

 

Unfortunately, Anthony lives in Deepest Dorset and we would like him to actually finish on the day, so a "true" walk to work isn't possible.  Instead, he will be trekking in from Chislehurst!  He's even agreed to buy a pair of trainers especially for the occasion.

 

Any contribution to make his challenge more rewarding will be very gratefully received by Futures For Kids, a charity for which Anthony is a trustee.  They raise funds for a range of charities helping to improve the lives of children in the UK and overseas.  Charities helped to date include Demelza House, Everychild, HopeHIV, Fairbridge, WhizzKids and Living and Loving.
