I'm Tom Bland.  Starting in June 2012, myself and Mal Law, world famous (in New Zealand) veteran of epic trail running adventures, will be tackling the biggest ever physical and mental challenge either of us has ever attempted - running the South West Coast Path in two weeks.  A 1014km run over undulating coastal terrain with 35,000m of ascent (that's the equivalent of 4 Mount Everests) in two weeks.

 

It's a big ask.  With an average of 72km (that's over one and a half marathons) and over 2,500m of ascent (that's lots too) per day, it will be a physical and mental challenge of monumental proportions.  We're doing this to raise awareness and understanding of mental health issues and, for my part, to raise money for Mind, the National Association for Mental Health.
