Event: Myeloma UK London Paris Ride 2022, from 15 September 2022 to 19 September 2022
Myeloma patients, family, friends, healthcare professionals and supporters cycle 500km from London to Paris over four days to raise crucial funds for myeloma research.

Story

I'm cycling 500km (308 miles) from London to Paris with my aunt, Deb Gascoyne, over 4 days in September 2022 to help make myeloma history!

In 2009, Deb was diagnosed with myeloma, a complex blood cancer that currently has no cure. After high dose chemo and a stem cell transplant in 2011, she was lucky enough to get 8 years of remission before she relapsed in 2019. She then had a second stem cell transplant in 2020 and is now balancing further treatment with training for the ride.

Since signing up for this ride in 2021, my partner's mum, Rosemary, has also been diagnosed with myeloma. This has now made me doubly determined to return to my training and complete the ride in September 2022.

Myeloma UK are an amazing charity that supports patients like Deb and Rosemary proactively while also funding major research into new drugs and influencing big players in the NHS.

I would be really grateful if you could donate to this cause, which means so much to my family and me.
