Story
This year has been a roller coaster, but coming close to the
end now, along with my colleagues from the Festivals & Events Team at Oxfam, I decided to join Trailwalker Relay and walk 100km (divided in 4 and together as a team), on the week of 21-27th September to show my love and support to an amazing charity of which I am proud to be a part of.
TRAILWALKER started out as a military training exercise in Hong Kong in 1981. Organised by the Queen's Gurkha Signals, and taking place along the famous Maclehose Trail, the exercise sought to test the endurance and teamwork of soldiers of the Queen's Gurkha Signals over a long and arduous course.
The Trailwalker Relay is the virtual TRAILWALKER challenge for teams to walk 100km collectively, splitting up the distance between their team members and completing it in the space of a week. This event supports the work of both Oxfam GB and The Gurkha Welfare Trust.
