Mum and daughter team, Wendy and Sophie have been longtime supporters of "Team PXE" and felt that now was the right time to try and raise just a little bit to help support the important research that PXE International does to try and tame PXE.

Their challenge is to do a virtual walk from Derby to Mablethorpe during August, the equivalent of walking 91 miles!! This is an average of 3 miles a day. Wendy is currently recovering from some quite significant surgery but now feels the need to exercise more, helping her recovery, but also wanting to give something back and raise some funds for "Team PXE". Sophie will be joining her mum, pounding the pavements when she can and also taking up the reigns when Wendy needs a recovery day or two.

Both Wendy and Sophie will be recording their walks on Strava and we'll be sharing that as they progress on their virtual walk to Mablethorpe. We hope to update with lots of daily-ish photo's too as well as showing their progress on a virtual map.

This is going to be quite a serious challenge for the pair of them taking into consideration the time they are going to have to commit and the physical challenges they are going to contend with.
