The OSCAR campaign (The Ocean and Shipping Community Advancing Children's Health and Research) is an innovative fundraising partnership uniting the international shipping community to raise funds at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (ICH). Background of the OSCAR campaign

Just after Oscar’s third birthday, he was referred to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) where his future would change forever. He was diagnosed with Leukaemia.

He had 5 brain haemorrhages and 3 bone marrow transplants. But just as everyone began to lose hope, Oscar started to get better. He only survived thanks to pioneering research carried out at GOSH, funded by our amazing supporters like you.

Child health research receives just 5% of UK research funding and there are thousands of children, like OSCAR, who could benefit from further pioneering research. This is where you come in.
