I've been cycling round the IoW since 2010; in the process I've come to love the island and its (slightly) slower pace, and I've learned to respect the community spirit of Hythe (on Southampton Water) which inspires close to 100 of us (many of them as old as me!) to give up their time to plan and organise a week-end of effort and fund raising.  It has surely helped my recovery and year-on-year determination to stay fit.  And to 'do the Isle of Wight' we need to be.
