Thank you for stumbling upon my page.  I am sure you'd agree that no human being on this planet should ever go without clean drinking water, (the most basic need that every human has a God given right to) Sadly at its worst, when those people rely on dirty drinking water, it has been noted statistically "that around 4000 children die every day from consuming, diseased water, ...that is one child every 20 seconds!"  

Unfortunately, such is the reality; that we take this most basic blessing for granted and have clean water at the turn of a tap. However, there are many communities across Africa and Asia, who must walk miles to quench their thirst and return home with water for their families. 

In this spirit we have decided to trek mount Snowdon, to walk for just a few miles (6-8 hr trek! unlike our brethren walking hours on end for water!) to raise some much needed funds and help build wells in places that need it most, as well as honouring them in their efforts with this challenging but exciting walk.

This is only possible with your donations and support, so in the spirit of this blessed month of Ramadan, let us spare some change and be as generous as possible, and find peace in knowing that we'll be contributing towards a sadaqah jaariya (ongoing charity) because every drop that a person or animal drinks from this well, will surely be credited by our Lord Ar-Rahman who knows and keeps account of every deed whether it be smaller than an atoms weight. May Allah swt grant us success and barakah in all our affairs.

It might be worth noting that this is also zakat eligible, so when paying your zakat out, do keep this cause in mind, honestly every little helps!

What's more this is a movement for alleviating thirst by the efforts and vision of penny appeal, it's a community effort!
