We fund life saving medical research to beat the world's biggest killers.

Story

One of the two charities I am raising money for on the back of my Ultra Marathon attempt is the British Heart Foundation.  This is in memory of my mate Adam Turner (Addie) who tragically died of a sudden heart attack last year.  The BHF is a fantastic charity and raising money for them in Addie’s memory is something I really wanted to do.  Great memories of running half marathons and doing BHF bike rides with Addie will help me through the dark miles that I will inevitably come across in my 100 km (62 miles run).

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!

Heart and circulatory diseases are the world’s biggest killers. That’s why the British Heart Foundation exists. By funding research, we can help find treatments and cures that could save lives. With your donations and the awe-inspiring science we fund, we make science fiction a reality, together.
