Story

I have signed up to run Edinburgh Half Marathon on May 26th. I debated over whether I wanted to just make this a personal challenge or for charity but decided my reasons for doing it meant it was an appropriate time to raise money for Tayside Sands.

This challenge is very much in memory of our baby boy Ben who we lost at full term in 2013. It will be such a huge personal achievement when I cross the finish line as I’m not a runner....when signing up I could barely run a mile!! I have been training hard and am actually enjoying running now! I’m using the challenge as a ‘I made it through’ moment after 6 rollercoaster years. My family is finally complete with my beloved husband Steven, my 2 little girls Carly & Mairi, my step son Drew and Ben very much part of that in our hearts.

We would like to say thank you to Tayside Sands for the memory box we received from them. It means a lot to us. Tayside Sands do so much good work offering support to people who find themselves in similar circumstances to us.

I would be so grateful for any donations....no going back now.

I need to do this and I WILL!!
