I am aiming, along with several colleagues, to complete the Three Peak Challenge on behalf of the Fine & Country Foundation to raise money for homelessness in the UK and abroad.

This entails climbing the highest mountain in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafel Pike) & Wales (Snowdon) within a 24 hour period with 23 miles of walking and a total ascent of 3,064 metres (10,052 feet) and covering 462 miles of driving from one to the other to the other. This starts Saturday 22nd June at 6.00am with a climb up Ben Nevis with a target of finishing by 11.00am. Then a drive of approx. 5.5 - 6 hours to Scafel Pike climbing between 5.00pm-9.00pm and then a further 5 hour drive to Snowdon starting the climb at 2.00am and hopefully finishing by 6.00am!!

A tall order perhaps, but I'm going to be giving it my best shot x

About the charity

The Fine & Country Foundation has been created to help combat one of the largest social issues in the UK – homelessness. Last year, the Government estimated around 2,414 people sleep on the street on any one night across England, a rise of 36% over three years. Often the reasons for homelessness are misunderstood, with many blaming the individuals for poor life decisions and carelessness. The reality is: people become homeless for a whole range of complex and overlapping reasons that cannot be avoided, such as family breakdowns, mental or physical health problems or debts. Solving homelessness does not only involve putting a roof over people’s heads, it is also trying to tackle the root of the problem and asking the question: why did they became homeless in the first place? The Fine & Country Foundation is dedicated to bringing together all Fine & Country agents in over 300 locations worldwide to raise awareness of the causes of homelessness whilst supporting homeless charities.
