Story

I lost my friend Simon Beadel in 2009. He died on the 6th January aged 25 to a virus he caught whilst at home on Christmas leave from serving with the peacekeeping forces in Kosovo.

Simon was an only child to Sue & Chris, who have worked incredibly hard to continually raise money in Simon's name for these amazing charities. We have all been there helping along the way, with this being our next challenge.

So I am joining Simon's Army consisting of family & friends to complete the Yorkshire 3 peak challenge. The route covers 24 miles (38.6km), and includes 1585cm (5200ft) of acent. The peaks we will walk are Pen-y-ghent (694 metres), wherndale (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres).

If you can please spare a few pennies for the amazing charity - The Royal Benevolent Fund, we would all be so greatful. This charity are not only there for the help and support those who have lost loved ones but are there for the members and families of serving Royal Air Force Personnel.

Thank you for time in reading my story & for your continued support.
