Story
If you know me or my family, you'll already know why I'm doing this and why we will continue to take on challenges and ask for your support until we have reached our ultimate goal: a cure for Rett Syndrome - freedom for Hannah and for all those also trapped by the devastating effects of Rett.
But this is not just me, this is a team event. It is a walk in honour of others, with whom we have walked before and whose journeys we have partly shared, whose daughters have tragically lost their battles with Rett. It is a sorrow and a grief which I cannot begin to imagine and which I can only, selfishly, hope I will never have to bear.
But I can do so much more than hope. I can take action. I can play my part, however small and insignificant that may seem, and I can help to make change happen. On 25th May, I can walk.
If you feel able to sponsor me, thank you. If you don't, that's okay too. Please just send some words of encouragement, share my posts, let others know about Rett Syndrome and the work that we do to take us closer to that cure. It all helps.
To find out more about the walk and the girls who have inspired it, please take a read of this blog post from Reverse Rett Director, Rachael Stevenson:
