Story
I’ve signed up for the December Daily Dash in aid of the Sue Ryder charity that supports palliative, neurological and bereavement care - either in specialist centres or in the home - providing invaluable help to many families.
This is the fourth year of the December Daily Dash which was started locally in Cookham but now has hundreds of participants both here and abroad and has raised over £25,000 for the charity.
The challenge is to run 5km every day in December, including Christmas Day, whatever the weather... Who knows, maybe I will actually be dashing through the snow? I’m very pleased to be able to include the Marlow Santa Run 5km in this as Robin did it with me this year.
My target is £155... £5 for every 5km - so if you can spare a fiver to sponsor one of the 31 runs, that would be great! I will top up with an additional donation instead of spending money on Christmas cards this year - which, let’s face it, I'm rubbish at sending anyway!
Strava users can monitor my daily progress to make sure I’m actually doing this!
