This will the 9th year of the SCC Cycle Charity adventure and my 8th consecutive year and Ly's 5th year being involved. This ride has seen many people over the years sacrifice their time, money (as they pay for all costs of the ride themselves) and their butts in order to raise awareness of the Saigon Children Charity and to raise funds to help disadvantaged children in Vietnam get an education which we in the developed world take for granted. We have raised over $350k in the last 8 years and hope to raise another $50k this year.

We are looking to raise a minimum of $2k and to show our commitment to the cause we will donate the first $1k.

In Vietnam many children still struggle to get an education and their stories are often heart-rending. When, through hard work, they overcome these difficulties their triumphs are inspirational. They just need a chance, an opportunity to change their lives for the better.

Please help me to help them. Just $200 puts a child in school for a year, also providing uniform and books. $500 sends a youngster to university to follow their dreams. Every little helps, and the difference an educated child can make to his or her community, by breaking the cycle of poverty, is immense.

We will be riding this years Vietnam Cycle Adventure, around the beautiful golden triangle of Hue, Danang and Hoi An including taking on the iconic Hoi Van Pass - 11km of 8-10% gradient - gut busting on the way up but adrenaline filled on the way down.

A total of 300km on and off road over 3 days - sore butt guaranteed - but also a lot of fun knowing we are doing this for a good casue and we hope you can support us in this by spending 5 mins online to make a donation.  

All the money raised goes to Saigon Children's Charity. SCC supports over 2000 disadvantaged children with scholarships every year, provide vocational and life skills training to help youngsters get a job, build schools in remote rural areas, and support organisations which help children with disability. The mission of SCC is to eliminate poverty through education.
