The December Daily Dash was set up 4 years ago by a friend of mine who lost both her parents to cancer within 2 years. The Sue Ryder charity helped her father and her family in his final months. 

Life has brought cancer into our own family this year and when I saw Jackie's call for participants go out on facebook I knew this was the year I wanted to take this on. For many who are chronically or terminally ill, life is a daily struggle. Running 5km each day is nothing compared to that. Sue Ryder does wonderful work supporting individuals and families through these difficult times we all hope never to face. So if you can give just a fiver, I will run with a lighter step and brave the worst of December weather with a smile, knowing we are helping support this cause.
