Story

Welcome to our JustGiving page!

We signed up to the London Marathon… by accident. Neither of
us are runners. Neither of us have attempted anything like this before. The
“Couch to 5K” programme is quite popular at the moment – but we decided it
would be perfectly sensible to throw ourselves in the deep end and try and master
20+ miles as our first foray into running instead. This decision worked out
great for us…. After our very first run, one of us instantly injured our knee,
while the other one got a bad case of marathon flu (even worse than man flu,
seriously)! It felt like our bodies were literally rejecting this crazy idea,
and we wondered what on Earth we’d got ourselves into!

It’s been an uphill battle (literally) – but we’ve braved
plenty of runs in the cold, in the dark and in the delightful English rain,
we’ve got a half-marathon under our belt, and we are starting to feel slightly
less terrified at what lays ahead…. Ish! *gulp*

We’ve pledged to raise £3,000 between us for the amazing
Motor Neurone Disease Association charity, which does phenomenal research into
the fatal disease. Please help us reach our target, your donations will help to
spur on two extremely puffed out individuals, and help us to make a big
difference to a fantastic cause. We appreciate you all your donations and
support lots!
