Story

This year I have decided run the Cardiff Half Marathon in October to support Alzheimer's Society. I have chosen to raise money for this charity as it not only helps those affected with the disease but supports those around them. They have made huge amounts of progress from donations but they still have so far to go before a cure is found. I have been inspired to raise money after seeing people around me affected by this illness and the huge impact it can have on their lives, including my lovely friend Lisa and her family.

It would mean so much to receive any support from anyone to spur me on to the finish line! It is coming around scarily quickly and I have never attempted to run this far before (13 miles!?!) Thats like running from Leominster to Hereford :O It may be touch and go whether I make it all the way....

I am also running this event as part of a team with the Audit Trail Blazers! Check out our team page for our progress.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
