Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I met Sophie (and her husband Ritchie) through a mutual friend and once you've heard their story and all about their INCREDIBLE little boy George... it's impossible not to:
A) Fall in love with the gorgeous George
B) Be full of admiration and respect for all that George & his wonderful Mummy & Daddy have been through
and
C) Want to help them to raise as much money as possible for the amazing hospital that saved George's life, go on to help many more families who are going through the toughest of times.
George was born in September 2017 at Royal Derby Hospital with many complex medical needs, he was transferred to the Queens Medical Centre at just a few hours old, where the amazing team worked tirelesly to save his life. Over the last 12 months, Geoge has undergone numerous operations and been through so many medical procedures as he faught for his life - he truly is Super George.
You can read George's full story here: https://www.justgiving.com/teams/SuperGeorgeArmy
Sophie and Ritchie are trying to say THANK YOU to Nottingham University hospitals by raising £25,000. The money will fund a parent's education & training room; a warm, comfortable & welcoming room for parent's of babies with a variety of complex issues, to learn how to care for their baby. George is known to friends and family as Super George, and the room is to be named after him. It will be a lasting legacy at the hospital.
So there we have it folks...an amazing family, raising funds for an amazing cause. I want to try to help and do my bit and will be doing some cupcake sales, raffles and anything else I can think of to help them on their way.
THANK YOU All FOR YOUR GENEROSITY AND SUPPORT
