Story

Hey! Thank you for visiting our just giving page, we are here trying to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team after they helped in the rescue of my mum.

On Father’s Day we were enjoying a family walk around Roseberry Topping and Captain Cooks Monument when Mum slipped and broke her leg in 3 places below her knee as well as dislocating her ankle in the fall.

Mum was in a lot of pain and it was very traumatic for all of us involved, luckily the Mountain Rescue and Yorkshire Air Ambulance medics got mum stretchered and, with the help of us all, she was carried to the waiting helicopter before being airlifted to the James Cook University Hospital for surgery on her shattered leg and ankle.

Without the help from the Mountain Rescue and The Yorkshire Air Ambulance Mum would have been in a lot more pain for longer and think we would have all questioned on the day if she would of been here today! We can’t thank everyone enough!

Me and my dad Paul (who hasn’t run for 39 years) are running the Great North Run on the 9th September to have some fun and reach some personal goals but also to try raise some money for two amazing charities. We hope you would donate some of your hard earned pennies with us and say thanks in the best way possible.

Thanks guys!!!
