Story

Whilst it’s really to early to publicly talk of our recent loss, I do have the urge to make something good come out of it and to have a personal goal to focus on -to get back into my running shoes, which I know will help help with the long journey ahead.

I’m therefore taking part in the Ythan Challenge, an 11k multi-terrain race in Ellon on 24th June. I am fundraising for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, specifically for the new bereavement suite planned for Aberdeen Maternity Hospital.

SANDS have been a great source of support to Jeff and I in recent wks and will no doubt continue to do so into the future. Our experience shapes who we are now and I hope that someday we can help support others who suffer such a tragic loss.

Thanks to Catherine Bain, Calum Crawford, Andrew Henderson, Blair Christie and Marta Gmyrek for agreeing to take on the challenge with me as team ‘Jumping Jacks’, and assist with fund raising.

Thanks also to you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Your donations, no matter how small, are appreciated.
