Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Every day in the UK, 140 women are diagnosed with breast
cancer and one in every eight women will get breast cancer in their lifetime.
Breast cancer is so common, that it has touched most people’s lives in some way. Thanks to many years of research, 80% of women with breast cancer now survive 10 years. We now need to find ways to help more women survive this devastating disease by detecting it early, stopping it spreading and ensuring women get the best treatment.

That’s why Dr Kendrick, Yvonne, Jo, Dr James, Lyn, Laura, Nurse Amy, Jane, Sue Fleming, Sara and Amy are walking along the Trent Valley
Way from Nottingham to Newark (21.25 miles) to
raise money for the new Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre.

Please think about sponsoring us if you can – every little bit helps. Together we can make the future brighter for women with breast cancer.
