First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Many of you have been here before, and donated wholeheartedly, but if you're visiting for the first time... a special welcome to you.

You're probably thinking... AGAIN! Whats he doing now?! Is he for real? Yeah, I agree with you there, but please hear me out.

When is the last time you appreciated how fortunate you are? Speaking for myself, I’d say that I've been so lost in my own little bubble of life that I sometimes forget about the realer things happening around the world. 

We don't notice how lucky we are, with our flash cars, designer clothing, extended houses and well paid jobs. There's meals we're too stuffed to finish and throw away, clothes we throw away we no longer fit in, money we waste on silly things which we could use so much more  constructively and beneficially. There's people in the world that can only dream of the lifestyle we live, yet we have a thirst to get more?

The other day, I read an article of a military official snatching a baby from somebody affected from the aftermath of the war and throwing it into the fire. I’ve been reading countless daily news articles around families being displaced, put in overcrowded refugee camps, slaughtered children, and even homes obliterated.

Many of us just seem to turn a blind eye, or even change the channel. Is this the world we now live in? I can’t even manage being separated from my children for a few days, so how do these people manage?

'Thats their problem, that's their country'.. really? Imagine if the tables turned and we were experiencing even a fraction of what some of these people are going through, wouldn't you want a bit of help? A reason to smile?

I've always been raised to believe that doing good, brings you good as you don't know whose well wishes will bring you fortune. So I'm doing exactly that. I want to push myself through the ultimate physical and mental struggle of trekking the heights of the Mt. Everest base camp this December. And in the process, raise money in aid of the Rohingya Emergency Appeal.

The money I hope to raise will help the refugees in the Balukhali refugee
camp in Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh. The camp is home to more than 500,000 displaced refugees who desperately need food, water, shelter and medical care to survive. Your donations will provide food, clothes, hygiene and sanitation items and supplies of clean, fresh water, alongside building much-needed toilets and shelters.  

To put things in context, when I trekked Mt Snowdon in 2015, the peak
was 1085m and I said 'never again'. Later in 2016 I peaked Ben Nevis which has a peak of 1345m. My friends, Mt Everest is the peak of human achievement, with its base camp being standing at a massive 5380m.

I have a massive amount of love for you guys, you've opened your hearts generously before. Please help me once again. These people really need our help. We at least owe that much to humanity.

A couple of pounds may mean nothing to us, but forever change the life
of a displaced refugeee. Dig deep guys... and I sincerely pray that for every pound you give, you're blessed with another £10.00 back. Remember every penny counts.
