Story

Hey guys,

For those who don't know me well enough, my name is Nina and I absolutely despise long distance running. So naturally, I have entered myself into the Manchester 10K run purely as a motivation not to get fat over exam season.

Crohn's and Colitis UK is the UK's largest charity in the battle against Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. These two diseases fall under the umbrella term of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and affects over 300,000 people in the UK. IBD is a  chronic disease with no known cause that causes many unflattering symptoms such as bloody diarrhoea, stomach cramps and fatigue.

Now, this charity is quite personal to me purely because I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when I was nine years old and spent many times visiting and staying in hospital. Luckily, the medication I'm on has kept the symptoms at bay for quite a while meaning I can live a normal life. But there are so many other people who get diagnosed with IBD and aren't as fortunate as me and Crohn's and Colitis UK is a fantastic charity that helps and supports people with IBD.

So help me raise money for this brilliant charity and help break the taboo with talking about poop. Everybody poops!
