I am raising  money for Robert Broude's Day Unit based in the Young Oncolgy Unit (YOU) at The Christie. You may ask why... this is the reason..

Our dear friends Helena & Pete's son Robert  was 19 when he lost his fight with cancer. This year is the 13th anniversary and I want to do my small part in raising money for The Christie's Young Oncology Unit (YOU) and in particular Rob's Day Unit. 

I have been involved with raising money for the YOU with our ladies committee for many years putting on many a fundraising event. Now it's my turn to go the extra mile, excuse the pun, with a personal challenge of walking/strolling/plodding 10k around Manchester City centre.    

I want to continue to raise money to keep Rob's vision a reality by providing funds to make Rob's day unit at the YOU an environment where young adults aged 16-24 be comfortable during their often gruelling treatment. Hopefully your donations can help purchase new equipment, other creature comforts, and improved areas with young adults in mind in memory of Rob.

So please help to continue fulfilling Rob's vision and sponsor me as I 'plod' around Manchester city centre. All the money you give will go directly into supporting “Rob's Day Unit”.
