Story

Together with like minded friends, I’m taking part in a two day, 145-mile cycle ride 'Football to Amsterdam', from Barnsley FC in Yorkshire to the Dutch capital, backed by the EFL and the League Managers Association.

You may already be aware of the vital work Prostate Cancer UK does and, if it is a charity you would like to support, sponsoring me will be a very effective way to do this.  The reason for this is that St. James's Place will match every £1 you sponsor me.  The total you donate will be passed directly to Prostate Cancer UK and an equivalent amount will be donated by the Company to the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation to help support its charitable work.  In other words, for every £10 you donate,  £20 (+ GiftAid where applicable) will be passed on to support the work these charities do.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. It’s a disease which kills one man every 45 minutes – Prostate Cancer UK know that with your help we can turn it around. Time is against us but now is the time to take action, to make this a disease the next generation need not fear.

(p.s. I have covered my travel & accommodation costs for the trip so none of the money donated will be used for this)

About the charity
