Between June 8th -10th 2018 I will be joining a team of 16 passionate and dedicated staff (Doctors, Nurses and Managers) from the University Hospital Southampton to take on the challenge of rowing a gig from Jersey to Southampton. This is to raise money for the Children's Emergency and Trauma Department.

We will be rowing approx 200 km, to mimic the journey of trauma patients being transferred across to Southampton from the Channel Islands. This mammoth challenge will likely take around 20-24 hours, with the team members rotating in shifts.

The team aim to raise collectively over £20,000 with corporate sponsorship contributing to make a total £100,000. This will, in turn, be match funded by the Government to add £200,000 towards building the new department!
