We fund research into SMA to help find a cure and treatments

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a rare, genetic, life limiting, muscle wasting condition. This degenerative condition has no cure! I work in a nursery and have had the privilege of getting to know a little girl called Isabel who has SMA type 2. She is now 4 years old but was diagnosed with SMA at 16 months. Isabel has never been able to crawl, stand or walk. Eventually this condition will affect her sitting, movement, eating and breathing. Isabel has the biggest personality I have ever met. She is a ray of sunshine in everyone's lives. She amazes everyone with her determination and positive attitude to what is becoming a very challenging life for her.

So, when the running gets tough, I just picture Isabel's smiling face, channel her determination for the impossible and keep going!

Please help us to raise lots of money to support the SMA Trust in finding a cure!
